My first time with the baby sick
Well the time has come to where I am sick, and now the baby is sick along with me. I dont like to see him sick, it scares me because he is so small. He just turned two months and he gets his shots tomorrow so I am hoping that he will be able to get them, last I checked the doctor won't give him his shots if he is sick. I know this will upset me because I have waited so long for his shots and I dont want to risk him to other sicknesses in the world. I just got sick myself and I am not enjoying it. I hate being sick because I get more lazy, my appetite slows down, and then I risk getting others sick just like my baby. Any tips on what I can do to get better quicker?

What are your symptoms? Any immune system threat can be treated with Vitamin C, best in the form of Emergen-C which you should be able to get at any drug store. It comes in packets and you mix it in water. It usually has other vitamins & minerals mixed in, but 1000 mg of C. Along with C, use Zinc and Vitamin D3.
ReplyDeleteIf you have a cold, eat chicken soup with lots of fresh garlic cut up in it. Herbal teas specific for your symptoms are always a good bet. Drink lots of liquids (give your baby Pedialyte). Get as much rest as you possibly can alternating with the freshest air you can find.
Keep me posted on how you are feeling. I hope you feel better soon. Of course, you can always take an aspirin or other pain reliever if you have aches & pains along with whatever other symptoms.
I am not a doctor but I have treated myself for years and nursed all my kids through many colds, viruses, etc.
I agree with the Professor. Even just a multivitamin will help give you a boost if you cannot do all the thing that the Professor suggested. Still have any prenatal vitamins? If you can't buy anything, that you be something you could take in a pinch.
ReplyDeletePedialyte is great slo for keeping the baby hydrated, especially if the baby's spitting up a lot or has diarrhea. Gatorade is the unofficial adult version of pedialyte. It's good for you if you get dehydrated as well.
Hope you both feel better soon.
OMG, sorry about the typos, I didn't read it before posting! I hope you can still get the idea. :)
